With the Apple iMac Retina, the actual computer hardware is not in an ugly and large housing, but Apple has made it disappear behind the 54.61 cm 4K Retina display. At the side edges of the modern AiO PC, the design tapers to just 5 mm.

The iMac pro i7 4k draws the necessary computing power from an Intel Core CPU and Intel graphics. A 4x 3.3 GHz fast fifth-generation Core i7 processor is used in the iMac Retina, which still has plenty of power reserves thanks to Turbo Boost technology. Individual scores of the Intel processor can be clocked up to 3.8 GHz automatically and dynamically.
The working memory of this Apple iMac 4k is equipped with 16 GB of LPDDR3 with 1867 MHz. In addition, the iMac has a fast SSD with a capacity of 256 GB for storing data.
Apple relies on the Intel Iris Pro 6200 graphics card for the graphics calculations in the iMac Retina.
The built-in 4K Retina display in the iMac Retina has a screen diagonal of 54.61 cm, with a resolution of 4096 x 2304 pixels. The display also has an IPS panel to see the screen content well and without color/contrast loss from almost all angles.
Many Expansion Options
The Apple iMac 4k has a variety of expansion jacks on the back. In addition to the 4 USB ports compatible with the fast USB 3.0 standard, the iMac Retina also has two Thunderbolt 2 ports. An SD card reader, a gigabit LAN connection and a mini display port on the back.
A WLAN module is also installed for wireless Internet access, which works according to 802.11ac WLAN technology. Bluetooth is available in the iMac Retina. The Apple Wireless Keyboard and Magic Mouse connect to the iMac Retina via Bluetooth. Bluetooth radio transmission can also be used for other devices, such as a wireless headset.
There is no optical drive installed in the Apple iMac Retina. However, if you still need the functionality of a DVD drive or burner, you can connect it externally via USB or Thunderbolt 2.
